Love Bug Scrapbooking Page Layout and a bonus layout

 

Welcome Scrap Bookers and Friends, Here to another Fun Saturday of Scrapbooking . So like a said last week for every Saturday in the month of May I am going to be showcasing projects to do with scrapbooking. For the last week  I decided to use the Hello Ladybug bundle. I did this for a May Scrapbooking and I also made a video. When you see my pages you may find some paper, dies, or stamps that are not current. We are in the meddle of a catalog transition. I will do my best to keep things current but I know some of my layouts will not be all current product.  I will give you suggestion on other product to use. I am here to inspire and share my scrapbook layouts with you . To help you get your creative juices flowing! Measurements:

Cut Real Red Card Stock in 1/2 - 11 x 4 1/4 

Gingham DSP is 10 3/4 x 4 need two

Green DSP is 12 x 2 need two

Photo mates 

Black card stock 

need two 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 fits a 4 x 6 photo

need four 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 fits a 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 photo

you will need to punch/ die cut four 2 1/2 inch circles from white cardstock

you will need to stamp 7 ladybugs and 4 flowers

with just changing the paper and using  few other product. I just add embossing folder Hive 3D embossing folder, Beautiful shapes dies and used the grass for the Oceanfront stamp set.

I used Bermuda Bay and Flirty flamingo ink For the flowers

I Drew the stem and leaf for each flower with a old olive maker add grass with a stamp for the Oceanfront stamp set. I used Vellum to make the Wings.

Layout Details:

(2) 12 x 12 Basic White for Base

(2) 3 1/3 x 12 Mossy Meadow

(1) 6 x6 Happy Forest Friends DSP

(1) 4 x 6 Happy Forest Friends DSP

(1) 1 x 6 Happy Forest Friends DSP

(1) 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 you will need one of each color Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Old Olive for die cutting

(1) 3 x 3 Calypso Coral for die cutting 

(1 ) 8 1/2 x 11 Basic white for stamping and die cutting 

(2 ) 8 1/2 x 11 Soft Suede for photo mats

(1) 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 Calypso Coral for photo mats

Title:

You are going to cut  (2) crumb cake 1/4 x 4 and (2) Crumb Cake 1/2 x 2  you will write Trail on both of these and then cut points at the end and add them to the top of the  1/4 x 4 pieces. Add them to the back of the title pieces see photo. For my Title I use my Circut Joy with a black maker and die cut it out with the layering Diorama Dies. You can always use stamps, dies, stickers or your own hand writing to make the title.

Now don't get to mad at me when I tell you that everything on these two layout pages are retired.

When I made these pages. I was not thinking about the fact that this stamp bundle was not getting carried over to the new catalog. To say I was a little sad is a understatement but, this pages was just to cute to not put in my Mays Month of Saturdays scrapbooking layouts.  With that being said, you can change this all up with using the new in-color paper and a great alternate stamp set is Sweetest Cherries Bundle. If my order gets here before this post and I have time. I make a layout with the Sweetest Cherries bundle to show you. 

The first thing I did to this layout is stamp randomly over both pages using all of the  five in-colors ink  and  the confetti like stamp. I also did this around the title. The title is this very nice size Happy Birthday stamp that came with this set.

Layout Details

(1) 1/2 sheet of each of the 5 in-colors DSP. Then cut to 3 x 3

(3) 1 1/2  x 1 1/2 scraps  in-color DSP in different colors

14 inch of each of  3 in-color ribbon

scraps of in-color paper for punching

scraps of basic white for stamping 

(1 1/2) sheets of Bumble Bee Cardstock for photo mats

       (3) mats 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 

       (2) mats 4 1/4 x 6 1/4

Would you believe this page layout was done with only two 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. Just think of all the wonderful layouts you could make with a hole pack of paper. This DSP is Called Hues Of Happiness the other side of this paper is just as lovely as the front. 

I know you guys are saying Bonnie that's a lot of coloring. Yes you are right!  If you are like me you find relaxation in coloring. I listen to my favorite audio book or watch my favorite T.V. Show while color. Before you know it you have got it all done in know time. I stamped a hole sheet of basic White cardstock with black memento black ink. Then I colored all the flowers in with blends and use the die cuts to cut them out. Then I just started making little flower arrangements. To make the little journaling  circle. I punched out a 2 1/2 in circle and drew lines across 1/4 inch apart. 

As for the Title on these My Pages. I am using a old Stamping up Die set. I love the size of these letters its just the right size for any scrapbooking page layout. Also I sometime use photo mates and sometimes I don't. Here I have giving the photo size on a piece of copy paper. So you would just cut your photos to the size I have on the paper. Then place photo down where I have the copy paper. If you went a mat behind your photos a 4 x 4 photo needs a 4 1/4 x 41/4 mat, a 3 x 4 photo needs a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 mat, and a 4 x 6 photo needs a 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 mat.

Layout Details:

(2) sheets of Fresh Freesia 7 1/2 x 8 1/2 

(1) sheet of basic White 8 1/2 x 11 for stamping

(1) sheet of 12 x 12 blackberry Bliss (5) cut at 1/4 x 12 (1) cut at 1 x 12 for the title

(2) DSP Hues of Happiness 6 x 6  

      6 x 6 Cut in 1/2 to 3 x 6 have two pieces

      then cut one of the  3 x 6 to 3 x3  on the 6" side

  So you should have a (1) 3 x 6 and (2) 3 x3 this is for the side with the title

next 6 x 6 Cut in 1/2 to  3 x 6 have two piece

        cut both 3 x 6 on the 6" side at 2 1/2 

So you should have (2) 3 x 3 1/2 and (2) 3 x 2 1/2  this if for the side with out the title

New Annual Catalog Tabs

 

Hello Stampers if you would like to add Tabs to your Catalog like I have. 

Here is a link to a PDF that I made. You can print them off using Avery labels 5366.

 I also used Jot Index Tabs for Dollar Tree.

I did have to cut the label down a little to fit the tab.

 I have used this tabs for a few years and love them. 

In the past I just wrote on them but was not happy with my hand writing. 

So I decide to make printable ones and add them to the tabs.

Love the way they came out. Hope this helps you out.

Now at the time of me making this pages this designer series paper was available (Pattern Party) As a Host reward. With the new catalog coming out May 3rd this Paper is no longer available. If you was able to get this pack with your Host reward Great! you are all set but don't fear we have a new designer series paper pack available as Host reward in the new catalog (Design A Daydream) that will work just a wonderful with this page layout. You my be noticing these Green stamped image on my page layout. I took a stamp for the Hello 

Beautiful set and Granny Apple Green Ink to stamp random spots around my cut outs. I found the easiest why to do this is to attached everything down but the shapes, title and tag die. Then place your stamped images around the page. Remember less is best sometimes.
